God, I am SO incredibly grateful for every opportunity that came my way during all of this FIFA craziness.
A HUGE thank you to Renato and RL/12 Agency for welcoming me onto your team and trusting me to help capture such an incredible experience. Thank you Marcus Carr, Joe Trahan, and Gerardo Ortiz for working alongside me and making this experience even better! And a very special thank you to Martin Bergman for giving me the incredible opportunity to photograph the practices something I’ll never forget.
One of the best parts of this entire experience has been the people. I’ve gotten to work alongside people I already knew and loved working with, while also meeting so many incredible new faces along the way. I’m beyond grateful for every connection, every opportunity, and every person who trusted me to be there with my camera.
And somehow, in just TWO MONTHS, I got to:
Get a sneak peek inside Fan Fest before it opened
🇳🇱 Photograph the Netherlands’ legendary double-decker orange bus
🇨🇿 Capture Czechia’s arrival AND photograph two of their practices
🇦🇷 Watch one of the most legendary teams in the world, Argentina, arrive
🇦🇺🇪🇬🇵🇹🇪🇸 Photograph practices for Australia, Egypt, Portugal, and Spain
Photograph TWO incredible performances — Turnpike Troubadours and Major Lazer
Writing all of that out still doesn’t feel real.
Moments like these remind me why I love what I do so much. I started this photography journey having absolutely no idea where it would take me, and somehow I keep finding myself standing in places I once never imagined I’d have access to.
I’m so incredibly grateful for how far this career has already taken me, and even more excited to see where it takes me next.
Here’s to saying yes to opportunities, meeting incredible people, working hard, and continuing to chase the moments that make me think, “How is this my life?!”
