Sometimes one opportunity can open a door you never expected.
My journey photographing FC Dallas started with just one game as a freelancer. I had no idea at the time where that one opportunity would eventually lead.
For the past two seasons, I’ve had the privilege of working for Simon Evans, owner of The Daily Soccer and The Soccer Business. Through the incredible platform and opportunities he has created, I’ve been able to continue photographing FC Dallas and be a small part of the amazing journey this team has been on.
But some of my favorite parts of this experience have happened beyond the photos. I’ve been able to meet and work alongside people I never imagined I would, experience moments I once would have only watched from the outside, and continue growing as both a photographer and a person.
When I look back at that first game as a freelancer compared to where this journey has taken me today, I’m incredibly grateful.
It’s a reminder to take the opportunity, even when you have no idea where it might lead.
